This retreat is for you if

You’re a woman or non-binary photographer at any stage, ready to reconnect with why you create and experience something deeper than a typical workshop or retreat.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, creatively or personally, and are craving a shift…this space offers clarity, fresh perspective, and renewed energy.

If you’re curious about exploring your work through writing and reflection, you’ll discover new ways to express what your camera alone can’t capture.

And if you’re longing for a true pause, a chance to breathe, create, and focus on yourself alongside like-minded creatives, this is your invitation to reconnect with your creativity, your voice, and your purpose.

Here, you’ll meet fellow creatives, become oriented with our exclusive access to the 100 acres of beautiful, mountain property, and start to settle into a relaxing and fun atmosphere. Together we will enjoy heavy hors de ouvres and refreshments.

Day 2

Welcome the morning light with your camera at leisure with coffee or as a small group. Step into the Kiva for breakfast before immersing yourself in creativity by making your own hand-bound book for journaling and collecting photographs. Enjoy a guided morning writing session to learn techniques and ignite your spark for writing about your work. Have lunch before grabbing your printed images to share with others during our print walks. Grab your camera gear and carpool to the Denver Botanic Gardens. Head back our lovely retreat for dinner and other optional activities.

Day 3

Greet the day with a serene sunrise photo session and journaling. Afterward, bring your laptops to the Kiva where we will download and view our botanical images (and any other images) and engage in a guided editing session. After lunch, we will share expertise and ideas in round table discussions and get to know each other a little more through a guided networking event where you may review professional photography websites, discuss marketing, and other topics. We will wrap up the day’s activities by making our own print using alternative processes before having a lovely dinner by the river. Choose the rest of your evening by wandering and photographing, journaling, or joining in the portrait shoot so you have a new professional photo for your website or social media.

Day 4 - Wraps up at 11:30am

Its mountain-wilderness backdrop lends a particular charm to this sleepy mountain town.

The Glen-Isle Resort is a historic gem built in 1901 with cabins recently remodeled with upgraded comforts and historic charm where we have exclusive use of the property to include more than 100 acres to roam and photograph. Stay in one of the fourteen historic cabins or camp in the secluded and beautiful outdoor campground voted #1 Hipcamp in the US. Note: the campground supports, tents, car-camping, and very small campers such as teardrops.

Transportation: The Denver International Airport is the closest location to fly into if you are unable to drive directly to the venue. Transportation is not included, however, prior to the retreat, we will connect you with other participants so that you might be able to make car-sharing plans.
